Refreshing Smoothie with Saffron and Aloe Vera

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 tablespoons aloe vera gel (30–40 g)
  • half a cucumber
  • juice of half a lemon
  • juice of 2 oranges
  • 80–100 g redcurrants
  • 200–250 ml cold water
  • optionally 1 teaspoon honey, if you feel it's sour
  • 1 pinch of saffron or 1 dropper of saffron essence 
  • a few ice cubes

Preparation:

Wash the aloe leaf, cut off the edges. Cut off the green skin and scoop out the transparent gel. Blend all the ingredients for 30–60 seconds.

Serve with ice or mint.
